Senior Team Players

Jason Greene: A reliable and experienced goalkeeper who signed for the club last season from Avondale United. Holder of an Intermediate Cup and MSL Premier Division medal. Also played with Midleton.

Mick Devine: Mick has previously played for Cork City, Waterford United and Cobh Ramblers in the League of Ireland. He returned to Ireland after spells with Middlesborough and Newcastle. Recognised as one of the greatest goalkeepers ever in the League of Ireland. Honours include a League of Ireland premier division title, Fai Senior Cup and a Setanta Cup. A Cobh native Mick signed for Wanderers ahead of the 2015/16 season.

Adam Thompson: a young reliable full back who has played at both underage and senior level for Cobh Ramblers in the league of Ireland.

John Meade: A reliable defender and a leader on the pitch. John has had spells with Cobh Ramblers and Cork City. Won a League of Ireland first Division title with Cobh Ramblers in 2007. Current club vice captain.

Brian Fitzgerald: A tough tackling defender and an intermediate cup winner in 2014. Brian has also played for Tralee Dynamos, Cobh Ramblers and Avondale. Voted Senior Player of the year last season.

Eddie Nolan: A reliable, no nonsense defender who signed for the club last summer after a spell with Midleton.

Gary Collins: A reliable, tough tackling defender. Gary signed for the club for the 2014/15 season after spells with Cobh Ramblers and Midleton.

Eoin Hastings: A young, tough tackling defender with a great engine. Eoin joined the club midway through the 2014/15 season from Cobh Ramblers.

Peter Nolan: A Skillful, Energetic defender who played for Cobh Ramblers underage. Peter signed for the club last season after a spell with Midleton.

Kyle Downing: A Hard tackling defender. Kyle has played underage and senior level with Cobh Ramblers in the A Championship. Rejoined the club last summer after a spell with Midleton. Former Wanderers Club Captain.

Tony O’Donovan: A versatile player and Captain of the successful Cobh Ramblers Under 19 who won the Southern Division of the national league

Mikey O’Shea: A powerful all rounded creative midfielder. Mikey has played for Cobh Ramblers in the league of Ireland and is a member of the Irish Defence Forces National Team. Won a league of Ireland first division title with Cobh Ramblers in 2007.

Shane Barrett: A tough tackling midfielder. Shane has also played for Cobh Ramblers and won a first division title in 2007.

Owen Kinsella: Owen is an experienced midfielder with a great engine. Ever present with the club.

Steve Bruton: A creative midfielder who joined the club from Springfield last season. Steve has also played for Midleton and Cobh Ramblers.

Alan O’Flynn: Alan signed for the club ahead of the 2015/16 season. Has league of Ireland experience and can play in numerous positions. An energetic player with an eye for goal.

David Stack: A Quick and skilful winger who rejoined the club last season after spells with Midleton and Douglas Hall. Played underage for Cobh Ramblers. Voted clubs young player of the year last season.

James Stoat: Played underage with Springfield Ramblers. James was voted Cobh Wanderers junior player of the year last season. Promoted to the senior squad for the 2015/16 season.

Emmet O’Hanlon: A physical midfielder Emmet signed for Cobh Wanderers for the 2015/16 season following a spell in Australia. Emmet has previously played for Midleton and Cobh Ramblers.

Gavin Kavanagh: A solid centre half Who has Played League of Ireland With Cork City and Waterford United. Joined Cobh Wanderers midway through last season. A Dublin native and a previous winner of an Intermediate Cup with Crumlin United.

Davin O’Neill: Experienced and skillfull attack minded player who has played league of Ireland for Cobh Ramblers and Cork City. Won two league of Ireland first division titles. Davin also played in the 2011 EA Sports cup final for Cork City. Signed for the club ahead of the 2014/15 season in a player coach role and was the clubs top scorer with 31 goals in all competitions.

Conor Meade: Skillful Centre forward who signed for the club from Waterford United ahead of the 2014/15 season. Conor has also played for Avondale and Cobh Ramblers and was the club’s top scorer in the 2012/13 season. Won a league of Ireland first division medal with Cobh Ramblers in 2007 aswell as an Intermediate cup with Avondale United.

Shane Geasley: Skillful centre forward with an eye for goal. Played for Cobh Ramblers underage and signed for the club after a spell with Midleton. Scored 12 goals in the premier division for Midleton in the 2013/14 season.

Ian Stapleton: Powerful and skilful centre forward who returned to the club last season after spells with Midleton and Avondale United. He is the holder of 2 Intermediate Cup and 2 Msl premier division medals. Scored in two Intermediate cup finals and was capped for the Irish amateur team last season. Also played for Stirling Lions in Perth, Australia.

Management Team:

Eric McCarthy:
Played underage and senior football with Wilton United. Also had spells with College Corinthians and FSV Cologne North in Germany. Appointed Senior Manager for the 2014/15 season.

Daragh Burke:
Daragh is one of Wanderers most decorative players having played over 280 times for the club winning numerous honours. Played league of Ireland for Cobh Ramblers and won a first division league title in 2007. Daragh was also part of the Ramblers Senior management team.

Davin O’Neill: Experienced attack minded player who has played league of Ireland for Cobh Ramblers and Cork City. Won two league of Ireland first division titles with Cobh Ramblers and Cork City. Davin also played in the 2011 EA Sports cup final for Cork City. Dave Ryan: A former Wanderers Senior and Junior manager Dave has joined the senior management team for the 2015/16 season.

Ryan O’Neill: A County Clare native Ryan has joined the season management team for the start of the 2015/15 season. Ryan was previously a coach with the Cobh Wanderers Under 19 team.
